English
GitView is an unofficial GitHub client, not affiliated with GitHub, Inc.
- No data collection. The developer does not collect, store or share any personal data. The app has no developer-operated servers and contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or crash-reporting SDKs.
- Data kept on your device. Your GitHub access token is stored only on your device, encrypted with an Android Keystore key. The app also keeps your GitHub username, display name, avatar URL, settings, recently viewed repositories and a cache of GitHub API responses. Logging out or uninstalling the app deletes this data, and it is excluded from device backups.
- Communication with GitHub. At your request, the app talks directly to GitHub (api.github.com, raw.githubusercontent.com, etc.) over HTTPS using your token, and loads images embedded in content from their hosts. GitHub's own privacy statement applies to data processed by GitHub.
- Optional notifications. Background notification checks run only if you enable them.
- Children. The app is not directed at children under 13.
